Tom
Quinlan

CEO

Tom is an experienced CPA, business owner and entrepreneur. His success is built on and driven by experience working with organisations from start-ups to ASX listed companies. His expertise is garnered from senior leadership experience in roles in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, Strategic Management and Marketing.

Tom partners with the management team and is responsible for the operational and financial performance of the business. As a CPA, Tom handles the accounting and payroll for the company. Further, as an experienced business owner and entrepreneur with an MBA, he supports the business strategy and development as well as supports the sales and marketing department by conducting analysis of commercial opportunities and driving marketing initiatives.

Sara
Young

Executive Manager, Strategy & Operations

Sara has an MBA from Monash University and over 12 years of experience in start-ups and large organisations across Southeast Asia, Australia and the United States. As the Executive Manager at Quinlan Consulting, she manages operations, sales, staff retention and development, marketing strategy and internal and external stakeholder engagement.

Sara partners with businesses to provide strategic direction as well as operational and administrative guidance aimed at improving employee or client engagement, developing or increasing process efficiency and customised strategies which impact the bottom line.

Hilarin mendis

Executive Manager - Accounting & Reporting

Hilarin is a CPA and has a Master of Practicing Accounting from Swinburne University. She has 15 years of professional experience working in a diverse range of industries. As the Executive Manager – Accounting and Reporting, Hilarin play a crucial role in overseeing the entire accounting, finance and tax divisions of Quinlan Consulting Team. She will be providing strategic leadership and vision to the Finance division, ensuring effective management and coordination of all financial operations. She possesses strong experience across statutory management and financial accounting with strong software knowledge, including MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks and Excel.

Hilarin worked as an Assistant Accountant at Smart House Fire Solutions for 5 years, where she engaged in managing high volume sales invoices processing for the Smoke Alarm Maintenance services provided for residential properties managed by Real Estate agents. In 2016 she took over the Accounts Supervisor role, overseeing Accounts Payables and Payroll duties, Intercompany accounts and bank reconciliations, weekly financial summary reporting and cash flow analysis. She worked 5 years with Tourism Holdings Australia, initially as a Finance and Payroll Assistant and then as an Assistant Accountant. In this role, she was responsible for Bank administrations, Daily bank journals and reconciliations, End of Month journals and reconciliations for payroll accruals, Intercompany accounts, FX Investment, Prepayments, Interest Expenses, Fuel stock valuations, Commission accruals and standing journals. Hilarin had volunteered as Treasurer and Grant Coordinator for Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East (SOA – MIE) for 5 years from 2012.

Yagnesh
Purohit

Executive Manager, Finance

Yagnesh has a Masters’ in Accounting and Financial Management from La Trobe University and over 15 years of experience in various accounting, bookkeeping and taxation roles. His specialised experience spans industries such as retail, IT, Medicare, manufacturing, food and beverage, finance, telecommunications, education, online retailing, auction houses and professional services.

As the Executive Manager of Finance at Quinlan Consulting, Yagnesh is a modern financial expert who embraces technology and utilises his vast experience in accounting and finance to lead his team and drive business outcomes. He applies a hands-on approach with clients and brings a deeper and more strategic financial perspective that helps business owners and managers optimise their current operations and also prepare and plan for future opportunities.

Julie
Quinlan

Principal HR Consultant

As Principal HR Consultant, Julie works with clients through EQ People and leads the human resources requirements of Quinlan Consulting team.

As a highly experienced HR Professional, Julie partners with executives and leaders to drive transformation in constantly changing businesses and has a track record of doing so in several sectors including retail property management, financial services, retail, and recruitment.

Recently, Julie has consulted to Cabrini Health, where she assisted in developing their annual leadership team offsite and was fundamental in designing a survey for their Visiting Medical Officers, analysing data and presenting results to key stakeholders. Julie’s experience with other organisations includes reviewing HR policies and creating a variety of compliant and progressive policy, procedure and position description documents, conducting research into organisation design approaches and designing effective performance appraisal frameworks.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Business from Monash University.

Angie
Jones

Principal HR Consultant

As Principal HR Consultant, Angie works with clients through EQ People and leads the human resources requirements of Quinlan Consulting team.

Angie is a commercially minded HR Professional with a blend of both strategic and operational excellence. In a constantly changing environment, Angie partners with leaders to drive transformation and deliver people initiatives aligned to business strategy whilst positively impacting employee engagement.

Angie has experience working with clients across the employee lifecycle. Angie has delivered customised HR projects in the areas of organisational design, recruitment and selection, developing employment contracts and policies that ensure compliance and deliver best practice employee benefits, engagement strategies, performance management and remuneration. Recent clients Angie has engaged and delivered HR consulting services to are Noel Jones Real Estate, Guardian Vaults, Incursions R Us and Endota Spa. With her blend of strategic and operational HR experience, Angie takes the time to understand her clients, their needs, and the company’s culture.

Angie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University.

Gralberg

Marketing manager - PR & Communication

Julia has over 15 years of experience giving her the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels, adapting tone and language based on recipients’ cues, mannerisms, and seniority level. Her professional experience in senior leadership roles coupled with a Master of Science in International Marketing & Brand Management has seen her excel in building and managing teams of up to 15 employees in fast-paced industries.

With experience in fast-growing start-up environments including leading marketing & PR agencies as well as working for a large multinational and launching her own successful business, Julia is a creative thinker, a problem solver with excellent communication skills coupled with a strategic mindset.

Julia has extensive experience across marketing communications, content strategy, PR, social media, web design and graphic design. During her career, she has consulted SMEs on business and revenue growth, marketing positioning and brand management across various industries. Her experience from working with executive management teams to junior employees has equipped her with the skills and ability to tailor her consulting approach accordingly.

Ankush
Mittal

Executive Manager, Digital Solutions

Ankush has a Masters’ in Accounting and ICT from Australian Catholic University and over 12 years of experience implementing, solution consulting and training 700+ accounting practices.  

With 7 years working at MYOB Australia, Ankush worked on businesses on business and accounting transformation projects using MYOB, Xero, and various ERP, CRM, payroll, payments, POS and cash management solutions.

Skilled at designing, developing, coaching and implementing profitable technology solutions and workflows, analysing critical business requirements, identifying metrics, value-driven deficiencies, and opportunities to deliver positive ROI.

As the Executive Manager of Digital Solutions at Quinlan Consulting, Ankush provides accounting and technology advisory services to clients on strategic outcomes. Assisting with process optimisation and business transformation by bringing a deeper strategic financial perspective, including financial, cashflow and KPI reporting, business performance dashboards, analysing budgeting data that helps businesses and managers optimise their current operations aligned to business’ long term objectives.   

Aman
Anand

Management Accountant

Aman is an experience CPA Management Accounting who also holds a Master of Professional Accounting from Monash University. He is advanced in MYOB, Xero and QBO. He joined Quinlan Consulting in 2011 working with our clients Golden Fields (Reservoir), Smarthouse Fire Solutions (Glen Iris), Felco (Oakleigh), Brett Lane and Associates (Hawthorn), Adventour (Brisbane) National Marketing Solutions (Malvern), Snack Attack (Brighton), and Mesh Direct (Balmain). Aman is responsible for managing the accounts of the Australian and UK regions for CEX that has global turnover of $300M. His experience includes monthly and yearly accounts, large payrolls, BAS, Superannuation, Payroll tax, budgeting and cashflow reporting, and break-even analysis. Aman has debtor collection expertise from previous roles with Dun and Bradstreet.

Aman has written and delivered bookkeeping training material within our training division. He delivered training in Melbourne and Sydney over a 4-year period being responsible for the administration, sales and marketing, and training delivery.
